Leinster

Leinster is a town in the northern goldfields area of Western Australia. The town is located 4 km east of the Goldfields Highway, in the Shire of Leonora
The town was established in 1976 by the Agnew Gold Mining Company as a dormitory town for workers at its nickel mine and was named for the nearby Leinster Downs station.
The Leinster Nickel Operation is now part of the BHP Billiton Nickel West business group. Apart from the Nickel operations, gold was also mined 41 km south east of Leinster, at the Thunderbox Gold Mine, from 2002 to 2007.

We had to visit this area because our son-in-law Simon works in one of the mines.. we simply HAD to ring him and let him know the inlaws from hell had arrived roflolololol
I've got a photo of a 'marked' road where aircraft land, because the outback can be so isolated there are several places along the roads where you'll see wind socks and markings for aircraft to land.
