Port Augusta
Port Augusta is located on the tip of the Spencer Gulf and is the most northerly port in South Australia. It also sits at the foothills of the Flinders Ranges and the edge of the desert, very pretty place. It is also the meeting point of several major inland highways, a resting place for those travelling from Western Australia, Northern Territory, New South Wales and Victoria. If your travelling around Oz thn this is the place you will probably see along the way to shop, to rest and to sight see. We never stayed here, we only shopped to fill the cupboards, fridge and freezer as we had our eyes on Coober Pedy.
